I'm not a huge fan of pushing "rules" because I truly believe that all earrings can look great on every face shape (if the rest of your outfit is considered), however after working with thousands of women, I understand that in a sea of overwhelm, it's often nice just to be pointed in the right direction. Please know though that being too strict with fashion rules can stop you trying new & exciting things. Instead, use these rules as a starting point to build your confidence and then branch out from there.
When deciding what earrings to buy, it’s best to choose a shape that isn’t the same as your face. So if you have a square face shape, ideally you'd avoid square earrings because this would emphasise your face shape in a glaringly obvious way and make it look more square-shaped. The aim is to draw attention to your face but in a subtle way that doesn't scream - look at the shape of my face, if that makes sense?!
