Autumn/ Winter Footwear Staples
Footwear trends come & go but if you’re interested in building a really versatile wardrobe that works hard for you, there are 5 styles I recommend you invest in for Autumn/ Winter.
Loafers
Styled with a simple sock or sheer tights, loafers are a must when temps start to drop. Depending on your preferred style, choose a loafer with or without hardware in either a textured or untextured leather. Personally, I love a chunkier platform that’s fuss-free, minimal and doesn’t compete with my outfit.
Sneakers
A sneaker works hard to give any outfit that casual, cool-girl vibe. White is a fail-safe option but don’t be scared to inject a bit of personality into your outfits too. Prefer a coloured sneaker? Perhaps you’re a high-top converse chick or maybe like 99% of the population, you now love an Adidas Samba.
Ankle Boots
Thin heel, chunky heel, high heel, low heels - when it comes to ankle boots, there are many different shapes & styles. Regardless of which style you prefer, aim to choose a boot that finishes at the narrowest part of the ankle. I’ve got the most versatility out of a pair of Witchery boots from years ago that are a dupe of the Chloe Susanna Boots - they are perfect on cool days, warm days, casual days + more fancy days.
Military/ Combat Boots
Controversial I know, but I love a military/ combat boot. I feel like this boot (more so than others), gives any outfit an edgy, undone look which can instantly change the whole vibe of an outfit. I love the juxtaposition of a floaty, feminine outfit styled with a structured, more masculine combat boot.
Knee-High Boots
An iconic boot - a style you’ll want to hold onto FOREVER. Choose a brown or black boot in a style that hits either just below or just above the knee. The knee-high boot is a shoe that will hugely increase the versatility of your wardrobe and ensure you get the most wear out of your Spring/ Summer pieces.
